Editor of surface supplements the GIS Map 2008 by means of reception of three-dimensional coordinates of objects of district with application of the overlapping aerial photographs (stereogram).
Use of photos at mapping allows to define not only planned, but also high-altitude characteristics of objects of district. But their application assumes execution of some intermediate technological stages, such as construction of a phototriangulation, creation of matrixes of heights, orthophotomaps, etc. Editor of surface was created for updating a three-dimensional map of district by the simplified technology, without execution of the intermediate stages of classical technology of creation of electronic maps, and also for definition of high-altitude characteristics of objects of already created electronic maps.
The main functions of the Editor of surface are:
- conducting projects of works region;
- measurement of coordinates of points on photos;
- orientation of pair of the overlapping photos;
- three-dimensional visualization of model of district;
- vectoring of objects of district by stereoimage ;
- creation of matrixes of heights by profiling;
- definition of high-altitude characteristics of object.
For execution of processing it is necessary to have following data:
- scanned photos in formats: TIF, BMP, PCX. At loading the image of photos are converted into an internal raster format of GIS Map 2003 - RSW;
- passport data of a camera by which photographing was carried out:
- focal length;
- size of a photo;
- coordinates of 4 labels in system of coordinates of a photo;
- coordinates of support points on the basis of minimum of 3 points onto stereogram.
For creation and editing of vector data and matrixes of heights the user should consistently execute following stages of processing:
- Preparatory works:
- input of the passport of an aerial camera;
- creation of the project;
- loading photos into the project.
- Creation of stereogram:
- measurement of labels on photos of stereogram ;
- measurement of support points;
- measurement of binding points;
- calculation of elements of orientation and creation of stereogram;
- for elimination of the cross-section parallaxes caused by presence of nonzero corners of an inclination of photos, it is possible to execute transformation of source raster images of photos - creation of ideal stereogram;
- Vectoring of objects of district and a relief or creation of a matrix of heights by profiling.
